Well finally got my delivery of my first little round tub of what could hopefully be the end of my cigarette addiction.
Everyone should try Swedish Snus at some point even if you dont have a nicotine addiction!
They are small pouches of non fermented tobacco and flavourings designed to sit under your top or bottom lip and give you a slow release of nic...
Ive got some General mini Portion at the moment which has a subtle taste of citrus, when you arent used to it the first thing that hits you in the face (lip!) is the salty taste but this subsides about around the same time that the nicotine kicks in... somewhere around 15 mins... it DOES take your mind off wanting a fag which is the best benefit so far.
And no it isn't like the nasty US stuff, Dip or chewing baccy, it doesn't make you spit all the time and like I said it isn't fermented which all other tobacco is. This is the process that produces more Nitrosamines which are the carcinogenic buggers, Snus is pasteurised therefore doesn't contain the same harmful ingredients.
Give it a go, you never know, you might like it :-)

A Looooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnng time...
Well it has been a while...I thought I had better do an update.
The biggest change in the past few months is that I have ditched going to rip off supermarkets for beer and started making my own! (Scroll down to the bottom and you will see my best achievement yet).
This is a must for anybody and everybody who loves decent beer. Im not talking about fusty old gits who go round with a notepad and a pen in their sandals and socks gesticulating about the 'fruitiness' or 'lasting bitterness' of beers, Im talking about getting drunk at home on very little outlay....The quality is out of this world. You CANNOT get beer like this from shops or even possibly pubs. I must admit it has turned me into a complete beer snob now, If I go to the pub it has to be somewhere good where I can get a 'half' decent pint...no more shi*e fizzy 'on offer' lager for me....
I also have to admit it has made me stay in more, probably mainly due to the fact why go out when ive got better and free beer at home! But the actual process of making the beer does take up a good 6 hours or so, that usually means getting started at 8am on a Saturday and finishing somewhere in the afternoon.
I can not recommend this highly enough if you want to take up a hobby....what a productive hobby it is, beats stamp collecting anyday!
More on this subject later....
